Days of the Week was one of the SCTV Network's programs, a take-off on such soap operas as Days Of Our Lives. Its announcer (who was not credited) would begin each episode by intoning, "Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. These are the Days of the Week." This narration was itself a take-off on Macdonald Carey's introduction to Days Of Our Lives, which transcribed as, "Like sands through the hourglass...so are the Days Of Our Lives."

Days of the Week was a serialized soap opera spoof that ran in Seasons 4 and 5. The first season followed the storyline of the rock star Clay Collins after he learned that he only had two weeks left to live, as well as the much anticipated return of a housewife’s formerly missing son--and the evil but incompetent criminal Rocco, who posed as the son in an attempt to kill the mother.
