Mrs. Falbo is the inept but well-meaning host of the show Mrs. Falbo's Tiny Town. Falbo was somewhat rambling and easily confused, and she depended on her gruff-voiced, jester-costumed assistant Mr. Messenger (John Candy) to arrive and announce the next segment. Falbo also (poorly) sang the show's theme song. The character would go on to have a life beyond SCTV, appearing on Sesame Street and other shows. And was she funny.
